Shout 85258 is the UK’s first free 24/7 confidential text service for anyone in crisis. It’s a place to go if you’re struggling to cope and need immediate help. Empathetic, trained volunteers take conversations with texters, listening and supporting them to reach a calmer place.

The challenge

Shout needed to cut through the noise of social media and communicate directly with potential volunteers and texters. We built a vibrant range of new brand assets to work within an easy-to-use, flexible system.

The outcome

Our work helped Shout establish a strong presence on social media. Since launch, the Shout volunteer network has grown to nearly 7000 people. Volunteers have taken more than 750,000 conversations with people in need of immediate support, with 85% of texters feeling the conversation was ‘helpful’.
